“In the event that any of the recaptured statues appear in any context, new decisions may be made. The police have been contacted on two occasions to check if the statues are the ones stolen at the burglary - none of them were stolen, ”writes police spokesman Towe Hägg to the Culture News.

According to experts in the field, the sculptures will be difficult to sell:

- To turn over stolen art today is very, very difficult, not to say impossible. No matter where they turn up, they are recognized. Now these are also wanted by Interpol directly, said Magnus Bexhed, art expert and CEO of Uppsala Auction Chamber to TT in January.

The works in question are reportedly sculptures in a large, numbered edition. 350 copies must be found of each, and each work is provided with an ID number and a certificate.
