Moscow City Duma deputy Elena Shuvalova was expelled from the Communist Party for "violation of party discipline." My first reaction: FINALLY! Everything went for a long time to this.
Elena Anatolyevna herself pretends to be the lamb of God, disagreeing with the decision of the party. But how could it be otherwise - could she publicly admit that she consistently, within a few months after being elected city deputy, supported the discipline and rhetoric of a single person - Alexei Navalny, and not her own colleagues and like-minded people?
Although thanks to the party, Shuvalova got a place in the Moscow City Duma. One can recall the “smart vote” and say that all the merits and victories of the Communists in the elections held in the capital are the merit of the huge campaign of the Anti-Corruption Fund * and the flock of Navalny. But after all, it was the party that agreed on such cooperation, and without such support Elena Anatolyevna would certainly not have got any place in any state body.
In fact, the exuberant imagination and unrestrained energy of the deputy can only be envied. I already noticed in my time that Shuvalova’s career did not shine there, in the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, but as a tank, train, spy and agent of Navalny and his team at the Moscow legislative level, it’s quite. Does this mean that Navalny offered her more opportunities than the party? Then this is a very stupid omission and short-sighted decision. Although, on the other hand ... Could it turn out that Shuvalova’s actions and rhetoric made the members of the Communist Party ashamed? And that there have already been more reputational losses than wins, despite the constant mention of the deputy in the media. In addition, her exclusion will be a great case in point for all other dissatisfied party members.
By the way, the official reason why, according to Shuvalova, she was expelled, she calls the arrival of Navalny at one of her round tables. Moreover, the deputy innocently makes excuses, saying that the leader of the so-called independent opposition came to that round table of his own free will and will, allegedly without prior agreement. Like, "I knew and came." Fortunately, I personally do not suffer from insanity and an idiot, for which Elena Shuvalova believes you and I are not. I perfectly remember that canceled November round table. Then Shuvalova absolutely openly stated that Lyubov Sobol and Alexey Navalny confirmed their participation as invited participants. They didn’t pass by, but were specially invited, Mr. Deputy.

A violation of Shuvalova’s security measures is worthy of separate public censure: she not only did not observe social distance during the party’s plenum to exclude her, but also did not wear a mask with gloves. It is necessary to carry it on the street, it is not necessary - this is a separate issue, but there is a single mayoral decree for all. Or deputies of the Moscow City Duma can libertize? And now in the room, when her colleagues and, as Shuvalova calls them, “friends who rendered unlimited support”, stood masked without exception, Shuvalova did not put on a mask. Another heroism, covid dissent? Yes, even for this, as a servant of the people, it would be worth it to expel from the party.
