Two weeks after the death of George Floyd in the United States, this black man smothered by a white police officer during his arrest, the time has come for tributes. And substantive questions.

The American Congress is considering this Monday, June 8, 2020, a bill presented by the Democrats. It plans to reform the recruitment and training of police, and to facilitate the prosecution of police officers. But, for the Minister of Justice of Donald Trump: no question of going back on legal immunity.
How does the American system and the police, or rather the police, work in the United States? What avenues for rethinking the powers of the police?
