From left to right and from top to bottom: Abi, Antoine Delie, Gustine and Tom Rochet, finalists for season 9 of The Voice. - Yann Dejardin - Lionel Guericolas - ITV - TF1

The semifinal of season 9 of The Voice delivered its verdict on Saturday evening on TF1. Among the twelve candidates still in the running, four were qualified for the final which will be broadcast next Saturday: Abi, Antoine Delie, Gustine and Tom Rochet. The quartet topped the votes of viewers who were the only ones to have a say.

The evening was attended by 3.8 million people (20.3% audience share), the lowest score of the whole season. The semi-final was presented in a “deconfinite” device and only partly live.

At 20 Minutes , we feel a pinch at heart for Toni, talent of the team of Amel Bent, whom we have followed since the beginning of his adventure in the telecrochet, that is to say during the preliminary stages preceding the blind hearings. The 23-year-old singer had chosen to cover Mylène Farmer's Désenchantée . His performance has been widely praised on social networks. "What is it to sing if there is not a real commitment? [The song] sounded like it should be out now. We know him, the current context ”, reacted his coach.

Amel Bent will console himself with the presence in the final of another candidate from his team, Tom Rochet, 19, who won over the audience with a cover of Free , the standard by Stevie Wonder.

In Marc Lavoine's team, Antoine Delie won his ticket for the last meeting. The 22-year-old Belgian had chosen to stay in the register of emotion. After singing Nothing Compares 2 U and As they say  to battles and knockouts, this time he opted for SOS from a distressed Terran .

Abi, 22, another darling of the public touched by his sensitivity, will represent the team of Pascal Obispo. He got his place in the final thanks to his performance on What a Wonderful World .

There will therefore be only one woman in the final: Gustine. The 30-year-old harpist, who has also accompanied her instrument to cover Chris Isaac's Wicked Game , has not said her last word. Member of Lara Fabian's team, she had produced the biggest buzz in the history of The Voice by singing with Marc Lavoine during blind auditions.
