Will we no longer hear the mythical phrase “Félindra, tête de tigre” next year on France 2? Fort Boyard is in danger after more than 30 years of broadcasting . Asked about Europe 1 , Alexia Laroche-Joubert, the producer of the show, expressed her concerns about the future of the program, while the filming of the 31st season starts on June 11.

"I'm worried," says the producer. It is a monument both figuratively and literally. This monument is in danger. I normally leave in eight days to start filming and currently there is no insurance. They decided not to insure us. Alexia Laroche-Joubert explains that millions of euros are at stake, while the threat of a filming interruption hovers over her head because of the coronavirus. "ALP [the production company] can shut down and never be able to broadcast Fort Boyard again,  " she said.

"I need urgent action"

In order to remedy the problem, Alexia Laroche-Joubert knocks on the door of the government asking for financial aid from the state, "a support fund that we will not automatically call, but which will be there in the event of hard blow. The producer wanted to recall the importance of her company, which notably offered Koh-Lanta on TF1 during the confinement. “We fed the antennas to entertain the public. We have to recognize our responsibility, ”she claims.

Managed by the National Center for Cinema and Animated Image, and funded by the State, a fund of 50 million euros is set up to help film producers in the face of the stopping of their filming. Alexia Laroche-Joubert then asked the same thing: “I need urgent action. "
