Recently, the archaeological excavation results of the Jingtou Mountain site in Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province were released. The Jingtou Mountain site was discovered for the first time in Zhejiang, the earliest in the coastal area of China (between 7800 and 8300 years ago), and the deepest burial (altitude -3 to -8 meters) a prehistoric Beqiu site. The discovery of this site pushed the history of human activities in Ningbo area to 8000 years ago, and the site dates back more than 1,000 years before Hemudu culture.
