According to the Prison Law, if a criminal dies while serving his sentence, the prison shall immediately notify the criminal’s family, the People’s Procuratorate, and the People’s Court. If the criminal died due to illness, the prison shall make a medical appraisal. If the people's procuratorate has doubts about the medical appraisal of the prison, it may reappraise the cause of death. If the family members of criminals have doubts, they may raise them with the People's Procuratorate. If the criminal dies abnormally, the people's procuratorate shall immediately examine it and make an assessment of the cause of death.
According to the criminal judgment of the Yuhua District Court in Changsha City, Li Mouhua was sentenced to three and a half years for being delinquent in buying a car of 325,000 yuan and conspiring with the debtor to defraud melon second-hand car buyers. The sentence is from September 26, 2018 to February 22, 2022.
