The Princess of Asturias Foundation has decided to award the 2020 Concord award to "Spanish toilets on the front line against Covid-19" .
The 2020 Princess of Asturias Award for Concord, attended by 35 nominations from 19 countries, has been ruled this afternoon in Oviedo, after the deliberations of a jury that, due to the health crisis caused by the coronavirus, have met for the first time in the history of these awards telematically.
The Polish city of Gdansk, considered one of the most beautiful in the country and with a history of workers' struggle, was awarded last year with the Princess of Asturias Award for Concord.
The Princess of Asturias Award for Concord, whose jury is made up of members of the Foundation's Boards of Trustees, is aimed at distinguishing "the work of defense and generalization of human rights, the promotion and protection of peace, freedom, solidarity, world heritage and, in general, the progress of humanity. "
