The coronavirus epidemic does not seem to know a “second wave” in Brittany. Three weeks after deconfinement, the data provided by the regional health agency are reassuring. In 24 hours, only one new confirmed case of Covid-19 was registered this Tuesday at 4 p.m. A very low figure which is also explained by Pentecost Monday, a public holiday where few screenings were carried out.

Since February 28, 2,884 cases of coronavirus have been recorded after screening by biological diagnosis in Brittany, making the region one of the least affected by the virus in France. As a result, the number of people hospitalized continues to decline. There were thus sixteen people in intensive care and 176 hospitalized. More than 1,100 home returns have been recorded since the start of the epidemic.

The region was not completely spared either since 252 deaths are to be deplored in hospitals, to which must be added 69 deaths in nursing homes.
