Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu in 2016, on a LCI set - IBO / SIPA

They will once again be at the forefront of the biggest games. Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu, who rocked more than 20 million French people on TF1 during the Men's and Women's Football World Cups, will officiate as soon as Ligue 1 resumes on the new Téléfoot channel, the result of an unprecedented agreement between the TF1 and Mediapro groups.

The two audio-visual behemoths specify that the commentators will be the voices of about twenty L1 matches broadcast on Sunday evening, including the “ten most beautiful posters of the season. To listen to them, you will need to subscribe to a subscription sold at a price of around 25 euros per month.

Telefoot launch scheduled for August

Mediapro, the new broadcaster of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 football, announced Tuesday that its future channel will be called Telefoot, thanks to an original partnership with the group TF1, which allows it to use the name of the famous magazine dedicated to the round ball. The new channel will start broadcasting in August, when the French football championships resume. The new official calendar, shaken by the coronavirus crisis, provides for a restart of the L1 on August 23, and that of the L2 on August 22.
