[Commentary] Li Haiming is a representative inheritor of the filigree enamel painting in Gansu and a researcher of China ’s Non-legacy Art Design Institute. He has been obsessed with Dunhuang culture for more than 30 years and tried his best to retain the beauty of the "Millennium Dunhuang" color. Mimi Jinsi created a large number of Dunhuang elements such as "Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes Avalokitesvara" and "Saying Picture". The work of "The Talking Map", which is just being completed, was created with more than 4,000 meters of imitation gold wire and lasted for three years. The work is 4.5 meters long. Its content includes 97 characters, beasts and so on. The action is vivid, and it takes one year to complete the painting.

I am based on our Dunhuang murals, which we call statues, ordinary people called composition, or characters. According to some of Dunhuang's costumes, some of Dunhuang's hair accessories, adornments, and Yingluo (Buddha neck decoration) are all drawn according to the regulations of Dunhuang, such a "picture of the story", to reach 4000 meters, (involving Dunhuang elements ) There are eight works over a kilometer.

[Commentary] At the end of May, Li Haiming introduced to reporters at the Li Haiming Enamel Art Museum, which was soon unveiled at the Lanzhou Creative Culture Industrial Park. In order to retain the beauty of Dunhuang frescoes in artistic creation, he tried various creative forms and eventually chose to follow his uncle from an early age. After learning cloisonné cloisonné enamel painting, he then branded his own enamel painting with the "Long School" symbol based on the traditional brushwork, Su embroidery, and lacquer painting he had learned for many years.

I also tried to use some others, such as Chinese paintings, such as oil paintings, such as acrylic paintings, to copy some Dunhuang frescoes. But it didn't feel like what I wanted, because I was exposed to cloisonne and cloisonne enamel since I was a child. I remembered it. The enamel glaze must be very beautiful if you make a Dunhuang fresco, and it has a characteristic that it does not decolorize. It will lose color after a long time with other pigments.

【Explanation】 The filigree enamel painting is a decorative painting developed from the traditional Chinese cloisonne process. It is mainly made of imitation gold silk and enamel glaze. It requires 10 procedures and is completely handmade by hand. Many young people expressed emotion at the early stage of production, "when you look at it, you will waste it when you do it"! For Li Haiming's daughter Li Jie, the beauty of traditional crafts is what she wants. She told reporters that if young people feel the process is cumbersome and no one inherits, it is a pity.

Because what we do now, regardless of color, is closer to modern young people, so they are like old people in the past, and now young people like it more. With such a beautiful craft, I do n’t think anyone has inherited it. I think it ’s a pity. Since I like it, I want to pass it on.

My daughter has liked it since she was a child. I have talked to her many times. I said if you want to be a dad or not, if you want to do it, you are determined to do it well, but you must have a mission, and you must have a sense of mission , This is not just to play, but I hope she will go higher than me in this career of art.

【Explanation】 Li Haiming has strict requirements on her daughter's study of enamel painting on the one hand, and on the other hand, she has innovated with her daughter, using the perspective of young people to let more people continue to accept and love. The Dunhuang elements are integrated into dinner plates, furniture, musical instruments, and cultural products and daily necessities such as Mochi, cosmetic mirrors, hip flasks and other practical products are created.

Although Li Haiming was invited in many places across the country, he believed that the roots of Dunhuang were in Gansu, and it was necessary to take root in Gansu to do the art of Long School enamel.
