A man fired from his job at Samsung Group in South Korea ended a year-long protest over a 25-meter traffic control tower.
The man named "Kim Yong-hee" landed on top of the tower near the company headquarters in Seoul after he got an apology from the giant South Korean technology group.
Kim had been fired 25 years ago, when he worked for Samsung's former Tikwin company. He says that he was fired due to his attempt to establish a trade union.
For 24 years, he failed to return to the company, and in June 2019, he ascended to the roof of the traffic control tower, where he set up a platform to protest against the company.
Samsung Electronics 'Vice Chairman Lee Jae-young promised that the company would recognize employees' rights by organizing trade unions in the future.
