He added that during a thunderstorm wind gusts can reach 20 meters per second.
Moscow Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov said that city services are on high alert due to predicted worsening weather.
The Moscow weather bureau said that over the past day in the capital, about 120% of the monthly rainfall fell.
