Emirati artist Mari Al-Halyan warned of an advertisement spread through news websites on the Internet indicating that he has achieved an income of two million dirhams per month, stressing that he will submit an official communication to the UAE e-crime police to investigate the matter.

Al-Halyan told «Emirates Today» that he was surprised at the beginning, but ignored it as a link to fake news and would disappear, but over time he found that the news spread quickly through more sites on the Internet with multiple addresses.

He pointed out that he had received many calls from colleagues and friends asking him about the truth of this news, and some of them asked about the nature of the work that he does, and he achieves this huge income on a monthly basis, which caused his annoyance.

Al-Halyan added: “It is strange that they attach these news to pictures of me from my work that I submitted, to give them a degree of credibility, but in reality the matter is that I am completely ignorant of the source of this news, and why I was chosen to attribute it to me.” He explained that with the increasing comments that he receives as a result of this false news He decided to turn to the cybercrime police to put an end to this.

"I got calls from colleagues, some of whom are wondering about the work I'm doing."

"They accompany the news with pictures of my work, to give it a degree of credibility."
