To enjoy the beach last weekend, in Loire-Atlantique or in Vendée, you had to take your car. From Saturday, TER and coach connections (Aléop network) to the coast will resume seven days a week. "This is an important step to support the new phase of deconfinement that is taking place," says Christelle Morance, president of the Pays-de-la-Loire region. Particularly in the direction of the tourism sector, which has been under heavy strain since the start of this health crisis which affects us. These include TER lines to Pornic or Saint-Gilles, or buses to Saint-Jean-de-Monts or Noirmoutier.

During the confinement, these destinations were no longer served at all from Nantes, in particular to avoid giving some people the desire to go for walks. Since May 11, around 60% of TER Aleop network traffic has been in rush hour, and 50% for the rest of the day, but the coastal stations were not served on weekends. From Monday, these figures will increase to 84 and 80% until a normal resumption of traffic from July 5 at the latest.

Wearing a mask is compulsory for all passengers, recalls the region. To allow social distance between passengers, an increase in seats was made possible by the introduction of two-level trains.
