On May 23, 1930, a Soviet and Russian publicist, art critic and TV presenter Vitaly Wulf was born in Baku. From childhood he was fond of theater and even planned to become an actor, but at the insistence of his father he entered the law faculty of Moscow State University. Wulf worked for several years by profession, but all this time he could not leave thoughts of art. In the late 1960s, he nevertheless retired from law. Wulf taught, wrote articles and books about the theater. An important part of his life was the documentary television program "The Silver Ball", dedicated to outstanding people of art, which he led for more than 15 years.
