The Regional Health Agency (ARS) of Nouvelle-Aquitaine undertook to screen this Friday 160 agents from the Loudun hospital in Vienne after four of them and three patients from the establishment tested positive for Covid -19. The first case, a patient from the rehabilitation care service, was detected a week ago at the Renaudot hospital center in Loudun.
Several screenings, including the last Tuesday, carried out on people who had been in contact with the patient and on part of the staff, made it possible to discover that at least four agents and two other patients were carriers of the virus. The officers concerned are in isolation at home, on sick leave, and two of the three infected patients have been transferred to the Poitiers University Hospital.
Another massive screening in a Poitiers nursing home
All the agents and patients of the hospital center had to be tested by a team from the CHU. In addition, in Poitiers, some 80 residents and 80 agents or workers at the "Marguerite Le Tillier" nursing home were to be tested at the end of the week. A nurse's aide was indeed declared Thursday carrying the virus and the establishment was placed in preventive confinement.
