François Perret in The Chef in a Truck. - Wild Bunch - Netflix

What would happen if a chef left his kitchen for a week in a Parisian palace to exercise in the smallness of a Californian food truck ? The answer will be given on June 10 with the online publication, on Netflix, of the documentary series The Chef in A Truck .

François Perret, pastry chef of the Ritz Paris, crowned best restaurant pastry chef in the world last year, has accepted to take up the challenge proposed by director Eric Nebot.

The testimonies of Pierre Hermé and Michel Troisgros

The six 26-minute episodes will follow him behind the scenes from the prestigious gastronomic address of the capital until his trip around Los Angeles. With the help of two clerks, his mission will be to create dishes inspired by local culinary habits, then prepare and sell them in a food truck .

Throughout each episode, François Perret will return to his experience in interviews facing the camera. Other personalities from the world of gastronomy, such as Michel Troisgros, Pierre Hermé Dominique Ansel or Niki Nakayama will also testify.

If, at first, The Chef in a Truck will only be available on Netflix France, Wild Bunch, co-producing company, has the ambition to market it internationally. If successful, a season 2 is not excluded.
