The use of bikes jumped 44% in France during the first week of deconfinement, in the city but also in the peri-urban and in the countryside, according to the data communicated this Thursday by the association Vélo et territories, which relies on 182 meters across France. And "compared to the same week in 2019, cycle traffic is up 11%".

Greener and healthier than the car, the bicycle has also become an alternative to crowded public transport thanks to the coronavirus crisis.
