In two months, the Covid-19 has made more than 36 million unemployed in the United States. The unemployment rate in the world's leading power could reach 20%, unheard of since the Great Depression of the Thirties.

Faced with this economic devastation, several American states have started to relax containment measures intended to slow the pandemic. This is the case of Oklahoma, a small rural and conservative state in the midwest in the Bible Belt, the religious home of the United States. This restart is fiercely defended by Donald Trump to stem the surge in unemployment. But others fear that the recovery in activity will be too rapid while the United States could cross the 100,000 mark by the end of the month.

"Deconfinement in Oklahoma: the difficult awakening", a great report by Eric de Salve.
