Relatives of victims demand accounts. Several preliminary investigations have been opened after complaints of manslaughter filed by the families of residents of three nursing homes in the Hauts-de-Seine, who died from the coronavirus, announced the Nanterre prosecutor's office on Tuesday.

The investigations, opened for "manslaughter", "failure to assist a person in danger" and "endangering the life of others" target establishments in Chaville, Clamart and Clichy-la-Garenne. In Clamart, two complainants say they found "a deterioration in the conditions of care", from January 2020.

These investigations are "a demonstration that our complaints are not fanciful," said family lawyer Me Fabien Arakelian. "At some point, we will have to ask ourselves the question of consolidating these complaints," he added. All these investigations, which also concern an establishment of the Domusvi group and another of the Villa Beausoleil group, were entrusted to the Brigade for the Suppression of Delinquency against the Person (BRDP).
