China News Client, Beijing, May 19 (Reporter Zhang Ni) This year's Chinese New Year hot movie "Jiang Ma" brought the K3 green car into the eyes of many audiences. Today, this "Net Red" international train has been running for nearly 60 years, with a total of K3 / 4 trips totaling more than 50 million kilometers and safely transporting more than 2 million passengers.

At the beginning of the founding of New China, when preparing the national railway train operation map, the train number did not start with a letter, but directly adopted a digital number. At that time, 1/2 times the smallest train was from Beijing to Changsha, and 3/4 was the Beijing-Ulaanbaatar-Moscow International Train.

The K3 / 4 train opened on June 4, 1959. Initially, the former Soviet Union provided vehicles and served as passenger passengers. Beginning on May 24, 1960, vehicles were provided by China Railways, and the Beijing Passenger Depot served as a train rider, thus officially opening the road of Chinese railway people through the two continents of Europe and Asia with 60 years of wind and rain.

After the third major speed-up of China Railways on October 21, 2000, the original K1 / 2 train from Beijing to Changsha was changed to T1 / 2. Since then, K1 / 2 has been vacant, and the K3 / 4 train has become the train with the smallest K number in China, and it is a special train that has not indicated the train number on the train plate. It has become the "going out" of Chinese railways. The first beautiful business card and the "net red" train that can be recognized at a glance.

K3 / 4 connects China, Mongolia and Russia, crosses the two continents of Asia and Europe, and runs 7818 kilometers in one way. The round-trip journey is nearly 30,000 miles and lasts 13 days. It is the passenger train with the longest mileage of Chinese railways.

Although the train has been upgraded several times since the train started, due to the special geographical environment, the vehicle has been using the traditional green car body, there is no air conditioning in the car, the heating is still using a coal-fired boiler, and the heating period is up to 8 months For a long time, each car consumes as much as 5-6 tons of coal for each round trip.

In the movie "Mom", Xu Yiwan, played by Xu Zheng, got off at Jining and Erenhot stations.

K3 / 4 times the line, the railway in China is 1435 mm standard rail, Russia and Mongolia are 1520 mm wide rail. Due to the different track systems, every time the train arrives at Erlian Station for entry and exit, the wheelhouse needs to change direction, so every time the vehicle stops at Erlian Station for about 3 hours.

Passengers can choose to stay on the train to watch the wheel change process, or they can get off and rest in the station room, which has become a unique landscape of this train.

Because the vehicles used for K3 / 4 times are only these three columns in China, and they only operate between Beijing-Ulaanbaatar-Moscow, most of the parts used on the train are almost not found in China. So for many years, the staff responsible for the inspection and maintenance of train equipment has developed an excellent tradition of streamlining and saving.

In addition, in recent years, with the development of science and technology, in response to some scarce parts, Beijing Depot has been actively innovating and using the latest 3D printing technology to ensure the good and normal operation of train vehicles.

According to reports, in the past 60 years, K3 / 4 trips totaled more than 50 million kilometers, equivalent to more than 1,200 times around the earth, and safely transported more than 2 million passengers from more than 100 countries. Witnessed and recorded the three countries of China, Mongolia and Russia Exchanges and friendship between the people and them. (Finish)
