  On May 12, a cultural media company in Beijing shot a short documentary of extreme sports in the Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie. At 11:19 a.m. on the same day, the two winged pilots who participated in the shooting took off from a helicopter with a flying height of about 2500 meters and carried out a high-altitude winged flight. One of the female winged pilots lost contact due to deviation from the planned route during the flight. . The lost couple had been trained in systematic wing-mounted flight abroad and had hundreds of wing-mounted flights and high-altitude skydiving experience.

  After the incident, the local government quickly launched emergency search and rescue, organized a fire brigade, Zhangjiajie Blue Sky Rescue Team, a number of foreign professional rescue teams that came to support, and local villagers familiar with the terrain to form a joint search and rescue team. The location where the body was found was about 900 meters above sea level, a straight-line distance of about 2,000 meters from its take-off position on the air helicopter, and a relative drop of about 1600 meters.
