The Revenge of a Blonde, third part, is well and truly on the way. The proof: the writers are found and are already working on the story. To write the new adventures of Elle Woods, which Reese Witherspoon will always embody, the production trusts Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor.

As Deadline relays, the two authors will write a whole new story and not repeat the script that had been circulating for almost two years. It will also be the second time that Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor will work together. They are behind the announced comedy by Priyanka Chopra, purchased by Universal in 2019 and under development.

On all fronts

For this third installment after the episodes released respectively in 2001 and 2003, Reese Witherspoon will not only lend its features to the main heroine. She will also be a producer through her company Hello Sunshine, alongside the historic producer, Marc Platt.

I'll never forget shooting this scene for #LegallyBlonde. We actually had an entire dance number that we memorized for weeks and weeks choreographed by the amazing Toni Basil. All these professional dancers came in and made the entire sequence so fun! There was even a dancer named Beverly Polcyn dancing with us. She was in her 80's and had danced in movies with Shirley Temple as a young girl. She had more energy than all of us! #tbt #bendandsnap

For Mindy Kaling, it's a new big project, after the success of the Netflix comedy, Never Have I Ever , as well as the series adaptation of Four weddings and a funeral for Hulu. Pledge that his collaboration with Dan Goor, co-creator of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and author on the series Parks and Recreation , will satisfy fans of Elle Woods.
