The screenplay for the upcoming film, which is briefly about two Icelanders who have the honor of representing the country in Eurovision, has been written by Will Ferrell himself. He has previously acknowledged that he has long been a big fan of Eurovision and that he has been watching TV shows every year since his Swedish wife, Viveca Paulin, introduced him to the music competition 20 years ago.
In addition to Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, actors such as Pierce Brosnan and Demi Lovato also star in the film, which will premiere on Netflix on June 26.
