A pylon. Drawing. - Mr. Libert - 20 Minutes

The list of arson attacks targeting relay antennas, observed in France in recent weeks, has further grown. On the night of Sunday to Monday, two TDF pylons broadcasting radio and television and serving as mobile phone relays, were the target of arson in Isère, the Grenoble prosecutor's office said on Monday, confirming information from France Blue.

These two fires took place in Seyssinet-Pariset and Jarrie, around 3 am, according to the radio, which saw its broadcast disrupted just like Europe 1. A gendarmerie patrol noted during the night that several starts of fire had touched the technical rooms located at the base of the Jarrie antenna. Since these malicious acts, the outage also affected all the telephone operators in the sector.

Multiple other identical facts

These facts have not been claimed. The investigation was entrusted to the gendarmes of the research brigades of Grenoble and La Mure, as well as to the competent research section on Isère and Drôme, where several similar fires took place previously.

Many other similar events occurred in other French regions during the confinement, notably in the Jura, Gard, Loiret and even Pas-de-Calais. At the same time, a document explaining "how to destroy a relay antenna" circulated on Internet sites close to the ultra-left, while the movement launched calls for direct action. For the moment, the various investigations have not confirmed these suspicions.
