In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, Shizuoka Prefecture has established a policy to close the three mountain trails on the Shizuoka Prefecture side of Mt. Fuji, which usually opens in early July. The mountain trails on the Yamanashi side have already been closed, and it is expected that all mountain trails at Mt. Fuji will be closed during this summer's summer season.

Shizuoka Prefecture will be closed by three mountain trails that run from the 5th station of Mt. Fuji to the summit, managed by Shizuoka Prefecture: Gotemba Route, Subashiri Route and Fujinomiya Route.

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the prefecture decided to open the mountain and decided to close all of them for two months from July 10th to September 10th.

The mountain huts on the Fujinomiyaguchi trail have already been closed, but other mountain huts on the Shizuoka side will also be closed.

Yamanashi Prefecture's "Yoshida Route" trails have also been decided to be closed, and this is expected to close all trails at Mt. Fuji during the summer season.
