Jacob Karhu lived more than a month in Antarctica - Brut / Jacob Karhu

We had left young Jacob Karhu when he had just spent seven months in self-sufficiency in a sheepfold in the Pyrenees. The ENS hermit student grew up and it is in Antarctica that he pursues his doctoral research. His subject of study? The climate, traces of which are trapped in the form of gas droplets several kilometers below the ice surface. By removing ice cores, Jacob Karhu goes back in time and improves our knowledge of the planet's past.

Between a 100% natural freezing session and an extreme clothing session, he tells us 24 hours of his daily life as a researcher at Concordia station, 1,000 kilometers from the coast of Antarctica and more than 3,000 meters above sea level. 24 hours a day, just that, it's worth the detour:
