In order for this double incarnation to work, Mark Ruffalo first shot the scenes of Dominik. The shooting stopped for six weeks and the actor returned, after losing many pounds, to shoot the scenes of Thomas. In this double role, Mark Ruffalo is astounding, without ever playing. The miniseries in six episodes deserves to be seen just for its performance ... which will undoubtedly bring it into the list of nominees for the Golden Globes and other Emmys.
