This five-year exam expired for some during the confinement period. All these candidates will benefit from additional time to pass the practical driving license test, reports BFMTV .
For people who have passed the Highway Code exam between March 12 and December 31, 2015, the validity date is postponed to December 31, 2020, announced the delegation to Road Safety on its official website. A ministerial decree will soon be published in the Official Journal, specifies the daily L'Est Eclair .
Two other exams benefit from the same deferral device: the motorcycle license plate, if it was validated between March 12 and December 31, 2017, and the truck license plate, obtained between March 12 and December 31, 2019 .
The resumption of practical exams is not yet acted
If last March, Road Safety considered extending the validity of the code for only two months, it finally decided to postpone it until the end of 2020. A choice that should allow driving schools to organize calmly preparing their candidates.
The date for the resumption of the practical exams for license B has not yet been set. Depending on the evolution of the situation, it could take place in June. A deadline that should "give the students time to resume the lessons necessary to regain their level," hopes the delegation to Road Safety.
