It was found that a total of 31 hospitalized patients and nursing staff at a hospital in Tokyo's Setagaya Ward were infected with the new coronavirus. All inpatients with confirmed infections are transferred to another hospital in Tokyo, and the spread of the infection is ending, but the hospital is taking steps to suspend acceptance of new outpatients.

It was at Setagaya Inoue Hospital in Sakuragaoka, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo that it was found that inpatients and nursing staff were successively infected with the new coronavirus.

According to the hospital, on the 19th of last month, it was confirmed that one inpatient who had been tested for PCR by complaining of fever was infected with the new coronavirus.

After that, when all other inpatients and staff members underwent PCR testing, it was revealed that by the 10th of this month, 30 inpatients and nursing staff members had been infected one after another.

All inpatients who were confirmed to have been infected were transferred to another hospital in Tokyo, indicating that the spread of infection is ending.

Hospitals have stopped accepting new outpatients and hospitalizations, and will be careful when deciding when to reopen while seeking guidance from the public health center.
