Previously, among other things, the Nordic Museum and the Viking Museum - both located in Stockholm, have announced that they are starting to open operations again. At the same time, several museums in the country have never closed. In Norrköping, for example, both the City Museum and the Art Museum have remained open during the spring, although exhibitions and lectures have had to be canceled.

According to Jeanette Gustafsson, over half of Sweden's museums' more than 200 member museums have been able to stay open, albeit within the framework of the recommendations of the Public Health Authority. But she believes that almost all of the organization's members will be able to open before or during the summer.

- Generally, more than half are open. Most who have closed plan to open until and during the summer where possible. All of them carefully follow the recommendations of the public health authority, she says.

After all, the public health authority and the government have not changed anything in recommendations or injunctions - how do your members reason about this for the summer and the upcoming opening?

- They are already following the recommendations of the Public Health Authority, and those that apply now will continue to apply until they change.
