A vaccine could be available in a year
"This virus could become endemic in our communities, it could never disappear", including in the event of the discovery of a vaccine, warned the World Health Organization (WHO). On Thursday, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) estimated that in an "optimistic" scenario, a vaccine could be available in a year. "We can see the possibility if everything goes as planned that some (vaccines) are ready to be approved within a year," said Marco Cavaleri, director of strategy at EMA, headquartered in The Hague .
