What happens after "Covid-19"? Are we facing major changes coming? Will the education sector be part of these changes? Many questions impose themselves today due to the implications of this virus on various sectors and the challenges it left globally. Studies and research published to date talk about more than 200 million people losing their jobs during "Covid-19", and global reports indicate an expected economic recession compared to the Great Depression in In 1929, in addition to unprecedented falls in US shale oil prices to below zero and its implications for the global economy.

This epidemic is not over yet, and the success of the UAE in facing it to this day at all levels came in light of preparedness and pre-preparedness, because our leadership believes that the future does not wait for anyone, and this is what we will work on from now in preparation for the next stage, studies indicate four possible scenarios for after "Covid-19" according to the recovery period, whether in the short term (3-6 months) or long term (12-18 months).

Near term scenarios; The first is “quick flexible recovery” in the sense of getting things back to where they were and recovering the economy quickly, speeding up development and performance, the second “fragile reversal mode” which is a gradual recovery of the economy in a short period, but its economic repercussions are large and its negative impact extends to educational institutions, but the effect on The end will be "fragile" on social and economic life and will require strong government intervention to support the economy.

As for the third and fourth scenario, they are understood in the long run. The third scenario is "survival of the strongest", where the repercussions of this epidemic will be painful, especially from an economic point of view, and there is difficulty in adapting to the changes and economic recession, and the strongest will impose its presence, while the fourth scenario is a "new system", It will have fundamental changes in all sectors, including education, and the economy will return to recover in the long run (12-18 months), with a significant impact based on the use of technology that will affect various sectors, including distance education.

Most likely, the fourth scenario of the “new system” is strongly proposed, and represents one of the directions that our wise leadership has talked about, by emphasizing the importance of preparing for the post-Covid-19, as it is preparing for a new future that no one expected a few months ago.

The "new system" that we are talking about today will affect its fundamental changes in all sectors, including education and health, and this system requires: Resilient, Innovation, Agile, and Preemptive, and educational institutions must prepare and reformulate their educational system for the post-employment stage. -19 », taking advantage of the gains of the current stage. In short terms; Education will not return as it was, as technology has imposed itself, and distance learning will inevitably be an integral part of education in the coming stage, as well as linking education outcomes with future jobs, which will focus on areas of health sciences, technology and biotechnology related to food security, in addition to supporting the innovation environment.

We must re-plan for the future and immediately begin preparing for the post-"Covid-19" with full force, and if fateful decisions require it, in order to be ready to start after successfully passing this crisis toward a new order.
