In Japan, the legendary Ghibli animation studios, created in the 1980s by master Hayao Miyazaki, have produced some of the most beautiful cartoons for children. And this with artisanal means allowing them to measure themselves against behemoths like Disney or Pixar.

The enchanted world of Hayao Miyazaki

Usually, to visit the Ghibli museum, you must have booked your ticket in advance and have patience. The crowd is dense in this small dream temple, colorful and nestled in the heart of a park, in the suburbs of Tokyo. Entering the enchanted world of designer and director Hayao Miyazaki is a privilege for all his fans, but since February 23, no one can admire Princess Mononoke or the characters of the Castle in the sky . The Covid-19 epidemic closed museums.

The Ghibli foundation has therefore created a YouTube channel that will make you feel like you are alone in the world with your favorite heroes. Several videos, some unpublished, allow for example to enter the large empty hall in the heart of the fresco that invades walls and ceilings and where the characters of Totoro and Kiki the little witch take their ease on the gigantic vines of a fabulous tree .

A place of mysterious creation

Another extract reveals a magnificent rendering of the office of master Hayao Miyazaki, an inspired and mysterious place of creation filled with selected objects. At the Ghibli museum, it is usually formally forbidden to take photos or film. There, you will have all the time to walk around virtually and discover details that ordinary crowds do not allow to appreciate.
