The NTA has established specialized telephone consultation desks at 11 national tax bureaus and the Okinawa National Tax Office since last month, as there is a risk that tax payments will increase due to the spread of the new coronavirus.

For telephone consultation, call charges have been charged so far, but from 13th, we switched to toll-free and accept consultation for free.

At the venue set up in Tokyo, approximately 50 employees of the Tokyo National Tax Bureau were divided into booths to answer questions from taxpayers.

The counter accepts consultations from 8:30 am to 5 pm on weekdays except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and the telephone number is listed on the website of the National Tax Agency.
