On May 12, the Public Security Bureau of Liyang City, Jiangsu Province issued a report on the "nanny smothering 83-year-old man", saying that the nanny Yu was involved in criminal detention in accordance with the law on suspicion of intentional murder.
The report said that at 1 o'clock on the morning of May 3, 110 received a report from the public that his grandmother Chen Mou (83 years old) died at home on the evening of the 2nd. The cause of death was suspicious. After receiving the police, the Liyang Public Security Bureau set up a task force to carry out investigations.
After investigation, Chen was paralyzed in bed due to illness, and his family hired a nanny, Yu Mou (female, 67 years old, from this city) to take care of his life. On the evening of May 2, Yu Mou died by covering his head with his clothes, sitting on Chen ’s chest and head.
At present, Yu Mou is being criminally detained by public security organs for alleged intentional homicide, and the case is under further investigation.
