Deconfinement is accelerating in Brittany. This Wednesday, the prefect of Finistère said that 140 beaches in his department would soon be reopened to the public. In the department of Pointe Breton, which has 1,400 km of coastline, around forty municipalities have received the green light from the State representative to reopen their coastline. As soon as the Prime Minister announced the possibility of reopening the beaches, many mayors had asked the prefects.

To rule, Pascal Lelarge notably relied on the president of the association of mayors of the Dominique Cap department to establish common specifications in order to guarantee "health security for all". In addition to measures of physical distance, mayors will have to impose a regulation of attendance. Transport and consumption of alcohol are also prohibited and the beaches will be closed at night. The list of authorized ranges is available here.

Beyond the promenade, swimming, sports, nautical activities and fishing can also resume. Several popular beaches for surfing, sailing, kayaking and rowing have also reopened in order to "allow a fair distribution of their followers". The prefecture advises "whenever possible" to favor local places.
