"Seducing parents and fans of the first generation"

"We are addressing a new generation that has not necessarily known It's not rocket science, " said the presenter, 29 years old. "The goal of the game is always to take the widest possible themes and to unroll them so that it is intelligible and clear". The concept is taken up by the same television channel, "the goal being to make a good popular science show that arouses curiosity," recalls Max Bird. "With such a brand, we are sure that it will also appeal to parents and fans of the first generation."

Also a comedian, Max Bird makes scientific videos on YouTube, and gives similar shows on stage, attracting audiences aged 15 to 30. C'est still pas sorcier  is mainly aimed at 7-15 year olds, but has been designed to satisfy the curiosity of the whole family. "What is fundamental is that it can interest everyone, if we take a subject, make it digestible and preach it a lot, it also becomes a huge opportunity for adults who do not know necessarily this subject. "

Season 2 filming, likely season 3

Season 1 was a great success. In total, the program has recorded more than a million videos seen on the four screens since December 9, and since the start of confinement, it has gathered 13.2% audience share over the 4-14 age group . "The employees are very happy," says Max Bird. "We are starting season 2 and it is very likely that season 3 is in the drawers." But confinement requires, the filming of season 2 has been interrupted. "We already have seven episodes available for this second season," announces the presenter.

The France 4 chain was to definitively end on August 9, but today, the deputies question the disappearance of the chain, especially since the confinement. On the subject, Max Bird says he knows nothing. "I think that if we manage to transfer the public to the platform, and that it becomes the new way of consuming this kind of program, why not. But that there is a channel which is aimed at young people and who does serious work, it seems essential to me. "
