The decision of the town hall of Lyon not to send masks to mailboxes, inviting residents to come and collect them themselves, created a traffic jam. And not just a little: it sometimes takes three weeks to wait for an appointment.

After this test day, the city of Lyon is opening new slots to increase the mask distribution capacity at all sites.

Faced with this finding, the municipality announced "triple the rate of mask distribution" this week, with the aim of delivering 320,000 by the end of next week. For this, she decided to open on Thursday four new gymnasiums to come and collect them: Jean Zay in the 9th arrondissement, Salle de la Ficelle (4th), Véricel (6th) and Tony Bertrand (3rd).
