According to him, Savin died on May 9 after a serious illness.

Savin was born on July 18, 1936. He worked as an animator at the Soyuzmultfilm movie studio (1968-1974), the Multitefilm studio TO TO Ekran (1974-1992), and the Hilos studio (Dresden, 1995-1997).
