The fear of having too many road accidents. On the eve of the deconfinement in Bouches-du-Rhône, the prefect of police wanted to warn the inhabitants of Marseille, calling on them to redouble their vigilance so as not to lose good reflexes. Like respecting safety distances… or not driving with inappropriate shoes.

Drivers, respect the safety distances.

"We have never experienced a period like this: two months without driving," says Emmanuel Barbe in La Provence . And to worry: "There is a real risk that we record many deaths but also serious injuries which, in addition, clutter our hospital services which must remain focused on the fight against the epidemic of coronavirus".

Bikers on the front line

The prefect also wanted to address the bikers advising them to "redo a quiet ride" in order to get back on their feet and before "watering", exhaust pipes thoroughly.

"We know it: on a motorbike, the slightest badly negotiated trajectory can prove fatal," he adds. Especially since some, here, in a totally breathtaking way, roll in T-shirts, shorts and sometimes even flip flops.
