The officials of Mexico said that the bodies of three nurses sisters were found, and they showed signs of suffocation in the northern Mexican state of Coahuila, in what appears to be a triple murder, following a series of attacks on health workers in the Corona virus.
The officials said they were investigating the crime. Health workers have faced increasing attacks in Mexico in recent weeks due to fears of infection.
Javier Guerrero, a senior official of the main public service in the state of Coahuila, described the killing of the three nurses as an intentional killing "and occurred at a time when health workers are the most important element in facing the health crisis."
Gwirado Marques, state attorney for the state of Coahuila, said it was possible that two or three criminals were involved in the crime, but that no one had been arrested. It was not immediately clear when the three nurses were killed.
He added, "There is no evidence so far that the crime was committed because of their work in the health field.
»It is very unfortunate for the community and assure the state 's commitment to set the perpetrators and retribution from them."
