"Temperature controls will be gradually deployed on all flights operated by Air France from May 11," said the company in connection with the coronavirus crisis. "This systematic verification will be carried out using non-contact infrared thermometers". Customers with a temperature above 38 ° C "may be denied boarding and their reservation will be changed without charge for a later departure".
Wearing a mandatory mask
The wearing of the mask will also be compulsory for travel on Air France planes from Monday. On board the aircraft, the company space passengers "as much as possible", the approach being facilitated by the current low filling rate of the aircraft.
The procedures for cleaning and disinfecting the cabins have been strengthened, and a virucidal product "whose efficacy is established for 10 days" is sprayed "periodically" in the cabins. On-board drink and restaurant service is abolished for domestic and short flights in Europe.
Air France also specifies in its press release that the air recycling systems of its planes filter coronavirus type viruses.
