China News Service, Sanming, Fujian, May 8th (Ye Qiuyun, Chen Xiaoqiong, Zheng Zongqi) "My life has been deleted too much, but I still love it! Still moving forward!" When saying this, Chen Zhanyin was half lying in nursing On the bed, through a pair of high myopia glasses, he can see that he has dizzy eyes.

At the age of 11, Chen Zhanyin suffered from progressive myasthenia (also known as gradual freezing), and his muscles gradually hardened and became weaker. Today, he can't carry heavy objects in his hand, and even his mobile phone is difficult to hold in his hand for a long time. To answer the phone, he can only put the mobile phone next to the bed and stay with the bed all day long. Even so, he still wants to spend some time and keep on writing.

"At the beginning of this year, my mother who had been taking care of my mother died of an acute myocardial infarction, and losing her mother was equivalent to losing her survival support." In the Minzhong Rehabilitation Center, the care worker took care of Chen Zhanyin, but referring to his mother, he was still very sad.

"In the past, writing rarely touched family life, but now, I want to record my mother's deeds, experiences, and consider writing an autobiography." 50-year-old Chen Zhanyin recalled the past with emotion.

Poor family and hard way to study

In 1970, Chen Zhanyin was born in Union Village, Wenjiang Town, Datian County, Sanming City, Fujian Province. He ranked third, with two older brothers and one younger brother. The family's economy is very difficult, but with the idea of "knowledge changes destiny", at the age of Chen Zhanyin's school, his father still insisted on sending him to school.

Knowing that the opportunity to study is hard to come by, Chen Zhanyin worked hard and achieved good grades. He has been the class leader from the first grade to the fifth grade of the elementary school. He was named the three best students every year and was admitted to the junior high school with excellent results.

In his childhood, Chen Zhanyin was no different from the other children in the village. He was good at cutting firewood in the mountains, plowing the land and digging fish in the river. However, the ups and downs of fate began at the age of 11.

Chen Zhanyin said: "I went to the fifth grade of elementary school that year. I felt that my legs were weak. When I walked, I wobbled like a duck and often fell."

After attending junior high school, Chen Zhanyin's illness became more serious and his legs were weak. On the way to and from school, I often walked and fell behind my companions. At that time, the family did not care, but thought that the child's bones were not well developed, thinking that as long as nutrition keeps up, it will be fine.

Unexpectedly, Chen Zhanyin accidentally sprained his muscles while carrying a bag of rice on his way back to school on the weekend of the third year. Since then, his legs have become more inconvenient to walk, and he has realized that he is "different" from others.

Someone persuaded him: "Reading is useless, don't read it, it is better to learn a skill as soon as possible, or to make a living for yourself in the future." Chen Zhanyin was determined to read the book no matter how difficult. Fortunately, at that time, Chen Zhanyin's composition was very good, and was often praised by the teacher. He always had an indescribable pride in his heart.

Later, his condition continued to worsen, and his constitution was not as good as before. Near the middle school entrance exam, he had a serious illness. He fell to the county's key high school by 3 points. Knowing that Chen Zhanyin's dream was to go to college, his father supported him to go to Datian No. 2 High School.

The fate was so bad that just this year, his brother Chen Zhanzu had similar symptoms on his legs. Due to financial difficulties at home, he could not afford the money to treat his two sons. In the fall of 1989, Chen Zhanyin, who was about to go to high school in the third grade, had to go out of school because of his disability. Later, his brother Chen Zhanzu dropped out of school due to illness.

Tenacious and independent writing guides the direction

The two sick brothers dropped out of school and returned home, which made the already affluent family even worse. Shortly after his second brother got married, his family was in debt, the brothers could not engage in manual labor, and haze shrouded the family. For Chen Zhanyin, the days at home are also suffering day by day.

Fortunately, at that time, Union Village Primary School needed a substitute teacher. Since Chen Zhanyin had attended high school, he went to the village primary school to teach. In this way, the students became his spiritual sustenance, and he put all his energy on the students. The children's achievements are among the best in the township school district, which makes him very happy.

Thought that he had found the direction of his future efforts, he devoted his blood to teaching. Unexpectedly, the second semester ended his substitute teaching career, and he returned to the "situ". "At that time, it felt that the heroes were useless, and there was no chance for physical disabilities." Therefore, Chen Zhanyin's will was depressed for a while.

Confused Chen Zhanyin saw his brother Chen Zhanzu raised a duck egg and learned to cut hair, and he cheered up. His family sent him to relatives in Youxi County to learn tailoring. After finishing his studies, he bought an old sewing machine and sewed it to the folks at home to earn some pocket money.

The good times didn't last long. Chen Zhanyin couldn't sit for a long time. Even when he lay on the bed, he had no strength to sit up, and his brother Chen Zhanzu's condition was getting worse.

"In a daze, a newspaper saved us." In May 2001, Chen Zhanyin found the address of the newspaper from a "Sanming Daily" bagged with sugar, and wrote to the editor in chief for help. A small grocery store is built on the roadside.

In December 2001, with the care and support of Sanming Daily, the local government, and many caring people, Chen Zhanyin opened the "Chen Zhanyin Caring Shop" snack shop not far from home.

Reading and reading newspapers and listening to villagers tell stories have become his daily routine. After listening a lot, he wanted to write and write, so Chen Zhanyin began to record villagers ’anecdotes and local folk customs. Chen Zhanyin said that he was not a professional, that was only a piecemeal record, and he did not expect to be able to publish it.

In May 2001, the debut novel "Legend of the Cattle" was published in the monsoon edition of Sanming Daily. The debut of the debut novel was successfully included, which made Chen Zhanyin full of confidence.

On August 4, 2001, he wrote a letter from the reader, "What happened to the fair accounting of the Longmen piglet trading market", which was published in the weekend edition of Sanming Daily and caused shock. The relevant departments immediately made corrections. "At that time, the editor Zhan Changzheng always encouraged me to stick to writing. In 2012, he tried to focus on supporting me to write in the direction of news comment." Zhan Changzheng was mentioned, and Chen Zhanyin was very grateful.

"I am a farmer who reports on the countryside, with mud and earth." In this way, Chen Zhanyin found a new goal in life. He began to insist on creation, and a series of works such as folk tales, folk customs, "me and my family" were successively published in the newspaper.

As the works appeared in the newspaper, the folks also knew that Chen Zhanyin would write. Need to write family letters, make reports, write applications, they will find Chen Zhanyin to help. He is enthusiastic and will not refuse, therefore, it has also become the "document" of the village obligations.

Love is like sunshine with grateful heart

The disease is merciless. With the frequent publication of Chen Zhanyin's works, many enthusiastic people began to pay attention to these two hard-working brothers.

For more than 20 years, Teacher Kang Qiang of Fuzhou No. 1 Middle School has often written to Chen Zhanyin, encouraging the brothers to become self-improving, and also sent a large number of books, stamps, and envelopes. And generously help the Chen brothers ...

Knowing that Chen Zhanyin usually likes to read and read newspapers, the 90th teachers and students of Datian No. 2 Middle School specially organized a fund-raising activity of "Giving Love and Helping Hope" through a classmate meeting. With their help, Chen Zhanyin used a computer. After that, he hit the keyboard to record what he saw, heard, and thought.

In recent years, Wenjiang Town, the disabled people's federation, civil affairs, tobacco and other departments and social caring people have also helped them in different ways. Since 2004, their family has been included in the Dibao by the civil affairs department.

However, Chen Zhanyin's life is still rough and ups and downs. On February 3, 2020, the mother who took care of the brothers' daily life died of an acute myocardial infarction, which was a painful blow for them. "Lost mother means loss of survival support." Chen Zhanyin said.

At this time, many well-meaning people encouraged him again and again, asking him to face life bravely. Reorganizing his mood, Chen Zhanyin moved into the Minzhong Rehabilitation Service Center on March 9 with grief. This fund was allocated by the Civil Affairs Bureau of Datian County.

His younger brother Chen Zhanzu stayed at home, earning living expenses by operating a canteen, and barely maintained his life.

Waking up around 5:30 in the morning, slowly sitting up against the nursing bed, waiting for the nurse to come over to help wash; around 7 o'clock, I used breakfast, or stayed in the room, or the nurse pushed him on the nursing bed to the lobby Office; lunch at eleven o'clock; after lunch break, sit in bed to browse the news or continue to create ... This is the daily life of Chen Zhanyin in Minzhong Health Service Center.

"I'm glad that so many people have been silently supporting and encouraging me to give me the courage to face life." He is very grateful to the caregiver for his meticulous care and care, and he is grateful for the support and encouragement of the government and caring people.

Of course, all this is inseparable from his efforts. For more than 30 years, Chen Zhanyin's works such as "Don't Lose Folklore and Culture", "Civilization Needs to Be Practiced", "Mountain Villages and Houses, and Masters Should Protect It", "Legend of Farming Cattle" and other works have been published frequently in the newspaper, and are very popular among readers.

In this regard, Chen Zhanyin said that at first writing these are just for fun, for many professional people, he is a layman.

When it comes to writing an autobiography, Chen Zhanyin feels helpless. He is not sure yet, but can only depend on his physical condition. "Writing my story is to hope that more disabled people can also become self-reliant and use their own efforts to outline a different life."
