The SCO wing of Angers Farid El Melali, 22, who had been placed in police custody Monday, will be tried for sexual exhibition, we learned Tuesday from the prosecution. The police were alerted by neighbors of the young attacker. According to the latter, he was masturbating in front of the accommodation of an adult neighbor who filed a complaint. The acts were committed in the private courtyard of a group of dwellings.

Heard by the police, Farid El Melali admitted to having had an "inappropriate attitude", according to his lawyer, Me Sandra Chirac-Kollarik. The footballer assured that he thought he was alone in this court. "He was not targeting anyone and was not aggressive towards anyone," said his lawyer. The footballer had already committed similar acts a few weeks earlier, according to the prosecution. The same victim reported an act of sexual exhibition in April, without being able to identify the suspect. The Angers player finally admitted to being the author.
Farid El Melali has been released with a summons to court, where he will be tried on an appearance on prior conviction (CRPC). The club of Angers indicated "to have taken knowledge" of the situation of the player and specified "to await the decision of justice". Farid El Melali, who joined Angers in August 2018, has just extended his contract.
