While the United States counts the most victims of the Covid-19 today, Donald Trump, President of the United States, spoke Sunday evening of the authorities' responses to the crisis in a program broadcast on Fox News.

Talking about the similarities and the differences between the coronavirus pandemic and the Spanish flu, Donald Trump affirms that the disease "of 1917" caused "between 50 and 100 million deaths", and "probably ended the First World War Because "the soldiers were getting sick".

A comment verified by Mathilde Cousin, journalist "fact-checker" in the service "Fake Off" of 20 Minutes.  For this, she contacted the historian of the Great War Nicolas Beaupré, lecturer in contemporary history at Blaise-Pascal University and at the “Center d'Histoire Espaces et Cultures” in Clermont-Ferrand.
