Since then, the crisis has hit the world and we realized that the testimonies we had gathered were gaining even more force. . "The country is ravaged by inequalities reinforced by the crisis"

"We are in the world's leading economy, but the country is ravaged by inequalities, which are reinforced by this crisis," continues the journalist. Indeed, across the Atlantic, more than 30 million people have registered as unemployed since mid-March, and the media have broadcast numerous images of huge crowds waiting in front of food distribution establishments.

CORONAVIRUS ESSENTIALS

> Partial unemployment: the parents' situation clarified

> A new inflammatory disease affecting children linked to the coronavirus?

> What will shopping be like after May 11?

> The French will have to go on vacation near their home

> Why going to the hairdresser will cost more after confinement

The strength of the report, according to its author, resides in particular in the opposite that he proposes in his description of America. "These are images that we are not used to seeing. When we think of the United States, we are often amazed by the power of this economy, of this society, and we often do not see enough of its flaws. However, this crisis shows all the flaws in this system, "he explains. The program shows by the striking example of Terry, a dental assistant initially interviewed by Martin Weill to talk about inequalities in access to care in America. Since the start of the health crisis, she herself has lost her health insurance.
