It is indeed, Monday, May 11, in a week therefore that containment should end ... Should and not should, because the doubt remains.

Indeed, “  Will France be deconfigured on May 11?  Asks Le Figaro on the first page. Emmanuel Macron announced it, May 11 is the theoretical date of deconfinement. But the president also added, on April 14, that it would only be possible "if we continue to be civic, responsible, to obey the rules, and if the spread of the virus has indeed continued to slow". However, seven days from this "release", nothing is yet assured , tipLe Figaro. The executive is even more and more careful. Last week, Édouard Philippe had already mentioned the possibility of extending or relaunching confinement by presenting his plan to the Assembly. Olivier Véran, the Minister of Health, assures him that, if the number of new patients starts to rise again , "the date of lifting the confinement could be called into question". Answer Thursday ...  "

Comment from Le Figaro  : the situation is complex, of course ... But that "  does not exempt the government from its responsibilities. That of a disorderly speech, sometimes contradictory, which is adorned with authoritarianism to be heard. The French, who we did not imagine so disciplined, inflicted a form of infantilization that they may not endure for long.  "

What bad students?

In fact, adds Le Courrier Picard, the government "  brandishes the threat of punishment, as a teacher would notice disorder in the classroom. It would be unfair to bring the hat of a postponement to the French who generally respected the confinement, bearing the unbearable. This relaxation observed in recent days is above all the sign , points Le Courrier Picard, that the confinement will not last much longer. (…) When it is necessary to designate the bad students, the confined French will not be the only ones to be slapped on the fingers, on the pretext of a relaxation observed in recent days.  "

For its part, Sud-Ouest notes what it calls "  the strangeness of this moment: a mixture of impatience and dull anxiety." Impatience, of course, to find free rein, to reweave in the heart of the meeting family and friendly ties, to finally enjoy this confiscated spring. Impatience also to be able to join those who are already working for the recovery of a country on its knees. And dispel the frustration of forced inaction. But do not underestimate the share of fear that haunts the country , still points Southwest . That of the authorities of course, soon faced with the sanction of reality and the judgment of citizens as to the relevance of their decisions. But fear also of people who, whatever they say, got used to this long break which moved them away from the inconveniences of existence at work, in transport, or simply the ordinary worries of social life.  "

The bicycle, star of deconfinement ?

On the front page of Liberation  : the bicycle ... “  A few months ago, the bicycle was one of the stars of the long weeks of protest against the pension reform. No more metro ? No problem, I have my bike ! And here is the little queen starting up again , notes Liberation . This time, it is the difficult way out of confinement that gives him the opportunity to shine. In any case, the bicycle presents itself as a serious alternative to frequenting public transport, metros, buses or trams, where respecting social distancing is a challenge. Almost everywhere in France, notes the newspaper , the cities, regions, departments, with the encouragement of the State, have already planned or plan to increase the kilometers of cycle paths and invent temporary improvements to make life easier for " bicycles ". "

So, believes Liberation , "  it would be simplistic to see in the bicycle the solution in terms of transport to all the challenges of deconfinement. Nevertheless, the innovations that will be implemented in the coming days and weeks to boost the practice of two-wheelers will speak volumes about the willingness of politicians to really think about the next world, or on the contrary their propensity to set off again from the fifth to the world before.  "

A third of bars and cafes may not reopen ...

Finally, “  let's save our coffees!  Is the cry of alarm launched this morning by Le Midi Libre . The Midi Libre which insists on the catastrophic situation of bars and cafes more particularly in Occitanie. For 77% of French people, coffee is the main place of social ties ," recalls the newspaper. With a global turnover of 6 billion euros, our shops, bars, cafes, bread dealers, game and newspaper sellers, post offices… represent a link between us the French. And they are everywhere, in town, in the countryside, in the mountains, by the sea. The Midi Libre could not remain insensitive to this profession , exclaims the newspaper, which on the evening of Saturday March 14th permanently lowered the curtain of iron. With what perspectives ? 30% closings are announced. It's huge.  "

So in support, Le Midi Libr e publishes a double page of photos, with tenants posing in front of their establishment, in Aveyron, Lozère, Hérault and Gard. We pay tribute to them ," said the newspaper. So that they continue to live.  "
