At 6 o'clock on the evening of April 30, vehicles lined up on Bailu South Road in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, and an ambulance was blocked in the rush hour traffic. Master Yao, the 120 ambulance driver, recalled that a 5-month-old baby was delivered and fell off the bed and suffered a head injury. Time passed in minutes and one second in a traffic jam. The injured baby was in critical condition. Master Yao tried his best to find a gap, but the traffic flow was very slow.

At this time, a middle-aged man wearing a mask suddenly appeared and began to direct traffic on the spot to divert traffic. The man ran while conducting gesture commands. Soon, the vehicle that was stuck in the middle of the road consciously moved backward. In only 35 seconds, a "life channel" opened, and the ambulance drove through the traffic to the hospital. Because the injured baby was out of danger due to prompt medical treatment, Master Yao, an ambulance driver, hoped to have the opportunity to thank the kind-hearted person.

Master Yao recalled that the enthusiastic man got off the bus of Kunshan Road No. 29, judging from the clothes he was wearing, he was the bus driver. On May 3rd, the reporter finally found an enthusiastic man who can direct traffic. He is Chen Liang, a driver of the Kunshan bus company. Chen Liang, 46, said that after seeing the ambulance blocked, he was really in a state of anxiety. Feeling sympathetic to the patient's family, he quickly stopped the bus and ran to the middle of the road to guide the vehicle.

The reason why Chen Liang is so sensitive to the ambulance siren is related to two past events. Many years ago, Chen Liang ’s eldest son accidentally took a bottle of medicine. The Kunshan Hospital issued two critical notices. 120 ambulances were sent to Shanghai to rescue them, which ultimately saved the child ’s life. Four years ago, Chen Liang ’s daughter suffered from fever, convulsions, and generalized spasms. It was also when 120 ambulances sent to the doctor in time before they became critical. These two experiences made Chen Liang have a special feeling for the ambulance. In 2017, he turned the bus into an "ambulance" and escorted the sick elderly to the hospital for rescue.

There is a kind of kindness known as gratitude and helping others! Chen Liang, great! (Wu Rui, CCTV reporter)
